December 2023 newsletter

Dear mission partners, The year is slowly drawing to a close, and we would like to take this opportunity to look back on the amazing things God has done in Asia and Africa in the last few weeks before Christmas. Nepal In November, we were in Nepal with our partners from the USA. There, we were able to equip and strengthen over 100 pastors and spiritual leaders. We also had the opportunity to take the gospel to remote mountain villages and see how people from Buddhist and Hindu backgrounds accepted Jesus as their Lord and Savior. Even after our on-site mission, the work in Nepal continues. We were able to send rice as urgent aid to the region badly affected by the earthquake in November. We are also supporting a children's home in Kathmandu, which currently houses around 20 orphans. A church planting is in the planning stages, and we are committed to offering additional training to further equip the spiritual leaders in Nepal to bring the love and hope of Jesus Christ to their country. Uganda Just a few days ago, we returned from our last mission trip to Uganda. There, we were able to reach people in the poorest region, Karamoja, with the hope of the gospel. We saw how people who were previously trapped in superstition and deep witchcraft found Jesus. We were also able to train and equip pastors and provide the poorest with over 1.7 tons of food, as well as soap, salt, and school supplies. Our focus in Uganda is on holistic mission work and the transformation of society in the poorest region of the country. This means reaching people with the hope of the gospel and planting churches that holistically serve the society around them. We want to help people achieve spiritual, economic, social, and health stability. To this end, together with our Ugandan partners, we will send a pastor to Karamoja at the beginning of the new year. He will live with the people there and show them the love of God in a practical way. We also plan to reopen a pastoral school in the first half of the new year to train pastors and spiritual leaders in holistic mission and community transformation. We already have around 50 pastors and spiritual leaders who would gratefully accept such training. Thank you. We would like to take this opportunity to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your support this year. Everything we have been able to do by God's grace to reach people and practically bring God's love to them would not have been possible without your faithful support and partnership. We would like to cordially invite you to stay connected with us in the new year, because we believe that God wants to use us even more in the coming year to spread his love and hope to the world. On behalf of the entire Gospel Mission team, we wish you and your family a merry and blessed Christmas season and a happy New Year, with deep trust in the faithfulness of our Lord Jesus Christ. May the following Bible verse accompany you: "Then Jesus approached them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And be assured that I am with you every day, until the end of the age!" Matthew 28:18-20 With Christmas blessings, Founder/Leader Nathanael Aclassato
